/ When to ARRIVE

Getting to class about 10-15 minutes early allows you some time to check in, settle in and prepare for class. Doors are open 25 min prior to the start of class. In order to avoid disruption, late arrivals will not be admitted into class. Doors are locked 3 minutes after the start time of class.

/ WHAT TO WEAR

Yoga is best practiced in comfortable, breathable clothing. Form fitting clothing helps your teacher see your alignment. Leggings, shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, sport bras welcome. Men may prefer to go shirtless. Please do not wear undergarments as yoga attire. Kindly refrain from using strong fragrances and colognes. We lovingly ask to use good personal hygiene when coming to the studio as you are sharing your space with others.

/ WHAT TO BRING

Bring a full length towel, hand towel, mat and water. Mats and towels are also available to rent at the studio for $5.

/ WHEN TO HYDRATE

Drink up! Be sure to drink water before, during, and after your practice. All of our classes are heated so your body needs an adequate fund of water to allow for perspiration and release of heat. We recommend to replenish with electrolytes. If you feel dizzy and nauseous during class, this may be a sign that your body is not properly hydrated.

/ HOW TO BE

Think of your yoga class as a mini escape. This is your time. Please respect the people around you and observe silence in the studio. Undo and roll your mat out quietly. Keep conversations in the lobby either before or after class. Make sure you to turn off cell phones and keep them in the lobby. Make room for everyone. Remember: you are responsible for the energy you put out, so vibe high and have fun!

/ WHAT TO KNOW

Your body… you know it the best, so listen to it! If something doesn’t feel right – don’t do it! Rest whenever you need; find child’s pose or lie on your back. Do your best to not leave the room during class (unless there is a real emergency), the instructor can only assist you when they can see you. The intention is to keep everyone focused and present, so please dedicate yourself to the full length of the class, no leaving early- we are here to find the commitment to ourselves and our practice.

You don’t need to be flexible, an athlete, or ‘in shape’ to do yoga… this is what you come to yoga to become.

You do need to have an open mind, respect for your fellow yogi, and be ready to sweat.
