You don't need to be flexible, an athlete or "in shape" to start. As our FAQ puts it, this is what you come to yoga to become. You do need an open mind, and to be ready to sweat. New to the heat? Read what to expect at your first hot yoga class.

Hot Yoga FAQs
Can a beginner take Hot Power Flow?
Yes. Classes are all levels, and modification and resting when needed are encouraged. If you're brand new to yoga, our non-heated Beginner class is a good first step.
What should I bring to hot yoga?
Bring your yoga mat, a full-length mat towel, a hand towel, and water. Mats and towels are available to rent for $5. Arrive hydrated and take breaks if you feel tired.
Is hot yoga right for everyone?
Hot yoga and infrared heat have documented benefits for many people, but take care with heat during pregnancy, for children under 13 and in the senior years, to avoid dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and heat stroke. Check with your health care provider before you start to make sure it's right for you.
When should I arrive for class?
About 10 to 15 minutes early to check in and settle in. Doors open 25 minutes before class and lock 3 minutes after it starts, and late arrivals are not admitted.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, breathable clothing. Form-fitting clothes help your teacher see your alignment. Please skip strong fragrances.
How should I hydrate?
Drink water before, during and after your practice, and replenish with electrolytes.
